the sad thing about this "bob" is that they chose to run down the charity only a couple of months after the founder has passed away! obviously a very shallow, disturbed person who needs to look at themselves before commenting on something they know nothing about.

just seen the stupid message from someone called bob, anyone who has ever had a cat/kitten from
the shelter, know, these animals are loved and cherished.   I have had my cat from the shelter for
nearly two years, and she is a wee cracker.   I visit the shelter with donations on a regular basis, and
can't praise the tom, sarah, and the staff enough, every effort is made to ensure happy healthy cats.
It's good to seen jan's wonderful work being carried on.    Long may it continue.  Please it ignore (bobs)
ridiculous message, as that person has obviously never been at CATS.     Please continue to support
this marvellous shelter in anyway you can

What sickens me is that Cupar CATS does so much, for so many cats, with so little, and the achievement of this is undermined by some petty minded fool, hiding behind the "anonymity" of a fake email address.

This person has patently not got the courage to have their viewpoint questioned, and evidently has never visited CATS.

Personally, I've visited Cupar CATS on a number of occasions, and the dedicated hard work that they do with abandoned animals that are brought in from all corners of Fife, with the very limited resources at their disposal is frankly astounding. Anyone visiting can see very clearly the dedication of the staff to the care and well-being of all the animals who find themselves in the unenviable position of being without a home.

One point we are in wonder of is that were these allegations in any way true we would like to know why this 'individual' did not contact the SSPCA on welfare grounds??

The SSPCA have visited and viewed our premises on many occasions over the years and through our work and reputation for the care we give each animal the SSPCA have come to recommend Cupar CATS on an almost daily basis to people looking to adopt or re-home a cat/ kitten, which we can only assume means that we meet with their standards of care.

Care which not only extends to the duration in which the cat/ kitten is in our care but also for the lifetime of the cat/kitten as we seek to learn about our former residents in their new homes.

As stated previously, we welcome anyone to visit Cupar CATS and see first hand the dedication, care and hard work the staff and volunteers perform every day for Fife's cats.

Heard so many bad stories about Cupar Animal Trust Shelter in the past, from people 'in-the-know'.  Having once visited it myself, I can honestly say that it was more-or-less a place where the 'caring' owners bred the life out of pedigree cats until they were of no use anymore, then re-homed them as abandoned, whilst selling the kittens. Truly shocking, and taking the credibility away from people who's concern for animals is true, and not greed related.

Please don't support CATS.  There are real and true animal shelters out there that do really need your help.  CATS is just a sham.

We are deeply saddened by the placing of this message on our website noticeboard.  This message has been placed by an individual using a fake email address removing the ability for us to ascertain the source of these fictional allegations.

We would like to assure everyone that all work performed at CATS is for the benefit of the strays, feral and unwanted cats of Fife and our reputation for our standards of care and work spreads throughout Scotland.  We are a Scottish Registered Charity No SCO23313 and are accountable for our actions to OSCR.

We welcome any individual to come to our shelter and meet with staff and cats in our care to see first hand the work we perform and the cats it benefits.

We would ask the individual concerned to contact us on 01592 783732 to allow us to discuss this matter further.

It is so sad to hear that Jan has passed away.  I used to speak to Jan regularly on the aol pets chat site but unfortunatley haven't been on for a while so I had no idea that Jan was ill.  I am thinking of you all at this sad time.  Jan was a wonderful lady

just wanted to send my sympathy and condolences to Tom, and all at CATS.
Jan was a ray of sunshine who will be very sadly missed as she touched and inspired the lives of so many.

Just had to comment on your website. It is absolutely brilliant. we have just moved to Leuchars from North Yorkshire. we have had 2 cats from a cat rescue shelter in Bradford in the last 15 years. They were both aged about 7-8 years old, male and we loved them to bits. Charlie died after contracting FIV although he was innoculated against everything ele, Henry died after suffering lots of fits in one day. They both had been with us for about 7 years each. Your site has now prompted me to want another cat as I miss having one around as I miss their company.
Your website is wonderful. The kids aged 5 and 9 have had a look with me as well. i will definitely be making arrangements to come and have a look.
Keep up the good work.

Thank you ever so much Elaine, I can't tell you how much we and the cats appreciate your kind donation.  It couldn't come at a better time as we have so many sick and injured cats to help throughout the summer and many long term cases which has us never out of the vets each week to get them all the care they need..   So from them a HUGE THANK YOU!

Tripped over your site through an article to do with the SSPCA. So close and I had never heard of you. I have two and three quarter cats at the moment. Two girls Daisy and Rosie and the three quarters is a (becoming less and less) stray called Archie. On behalf of them I've donated a little something to help. Good luck.
